UPDATE

This is the 2^nd edition of Zoom News and the formation of CRANE LINK ZOOMLION is proceeding extremely well.  Crane Link Zoomlion for those whom did not receive the 1^st edition has being appointed as the new sole agent for Zoomlion cranes in South Africa.

I wish to say thank you for all the good wishes that we have received from so many customers on the start-up of this new company. We have also received an overwhelming response especially for parts supply and use of technical staff that are busy servicing cranes throughout the country already.

ZOOMLION BAUMA CHINA

Zoomlion recently exhibited at the Bauma China show and proudly had the largest stand and display of the full range of Zoomlion products. The new Rough Terrain 50 ton was on display and received many positive responses from the visitors.

ZOOMLION ROUGH TERRAIN

The rough terrain crane market has being traditionally dominated by the American and the Japanese. Now that Zoomlion has successfully designed and sold these cranes into the USA through a Zoomlion agent named Global Equipment I will be introducing this product range to South Africa in 2011.

ZOOMLION CRAWLER CRANE

The 2^nd Zoomlion QUY1000, a 1000ton crawler crane is under construction for the supply of a new Power station project in China. Zoomlion range of crawler cranes ranges from 50 to now 1000 ton.

To date Zoomlion has sold 5 QUY260 260ton crawler cranes and one QUY100 100ton crawler crane into South Africa. Crane Link has imported into South Africa a highly comprehensive range of crawler crane parts to support the product in SA.

ZOOMLION MOBILE TRUCK CRANE

Zoomlion has launched the new R series of truck cranes R represents right hand drive and as from 2011 cranes can be ordered either left hand drive or right hand drive, the right hand drive delivery period is an extra 4 weeks over left hand drive.

ALL TERRAIN CRANES

The Chinese crane manufacturers have manufactured all terrain cranes for a number of years but as a very high level of the componentry and steel is imported from Europe, these cranes are not as competitively priced as the Truck crane range, the perception in the market is still that if I am going to purchase a Chinese product it should be at a substantial reduction in price over a European or Japanese products due to the perceived superior quality design. This is however only a perception, Zoomlion has now designed a range of All Terrain Cranes that boost some of the highest technical features with high lifting capacity load charts that out perform some opposition cranes and have higher lifting booms.

Zoomlion range of All Terrain Cranes on average is 15% lower in price so if you are looking for an All Terrain Crane let me quote you and you may be surprised as to what package is available.

ZOOMLION YEAR END SPECIAL (CHRISTMAS GIFT FROM ZOOMLION)   

Zoomlion has a 2010 December year end special sale on excess stock.  Zoomlion has a range of cranes that are being sold off at a 20% discount.   Please contact us and we shall advise you on what models this discount applies to. This applies to Mobile and crawler cranes.

CRANE LINK ZOOMLION

SERVICE : The technical team recently received new Nissan service vans and is busy getting them equipped to handle all technical requirements in the field.

 

Crane Link Zoomlion can also handle repairs on other brands of Chinese and Japanese cranes.  We have already taken on work and the response from the customers was truly promising that they immediately passed on additional work on other cranes.

PARTS DEPARTMENT

With the arrival of a R1.5M rand’s worth of spare parts and more on order, we have been presently busy getting our spare parts store in place, the purchase of racking and storage bins has been done and we have identified that we will have two spare parts stores one for Mobile cranes and one for Crawler cranes.

SALES

The sale of Zoomlion QY30V532 this month brings the orders to four since the start of Crane Link in mid-October 2010. We have so far delivered to date one Zoomlion QY50V and one QY30V and received a QY25V432 that will be delivered in January 2011, a 2^nd QY25V432 has been already shipped and this crane will be delivered middle of January 2011.

Zoomlion current delivery lead time from order is 3 months.

ZOOMLION PRE DELIVERY INSPECTION

With the arrival of the new QY25V432 sold to DR Crane Hire Zoomlion, Technical Service Manager Mr Mike Yang went through the crane to ensure that the crane has arrived in South Africa in the right condition.

The office in Umhlali is now all set up with IT systems and office furniture and layout all in place.

The premises in Midrand have its signage now in place making it a little easier to find us.

IMPORTATION

Crane Link Zoomlion recently appointed ICM Logistics to take care of all our clearing and forwarding arrangements, ICM was chosen over other companies due to their personal hands on approach that enables Crane Link to focus on its core business and not have to worry about shipping logistics. The first cranes went through without a hitch.

CTS Transport has been doing some outstanding work collecting and delivering cranes throughout the country for us, we are pleased with CTS service and professional approach.

SOCIAL PAGE

Mike Yang and Rex Duan from Zoomlion visited Ballito.  This was the first time in Rex had seen and been to the sea.  He enjoyed looking at all the rock pools and seeing all the sea life that naturally grows on our coastal rocks.  They had a swim in the sea and spend some good time enjoying life in Ballito.

WEEKEND AWAY

I took some time out to catch some trout and visited the waters in Dullstroom recently some good size trout where caught anybody keen for a weekend trout fishing please let me know and we can arrange a great weekend in the Drakensburg. Rob Cook keeps on telling me of the big fish he catches so we can take some wages.
